September 6, 2018 – The judgment in the bail application of former police officer, Oshane Thompson was reserved after submissions were heard today in the St. Mary Parish Court.
Prosecutors in presenting their arguments opposed the bail application for two main reasons. Firstly, the accused failed to return to Jamaica at the scheduled time as well as contact was made to one of the witnesses in the case.
Mr. Thompson has been remanded until next week Thursday, October 13, 2018, when the case returns to court.
Mr. Thompson was arrested by JCF officials on Thursday, August 30 upon his return to Jamaica and was charged for the murder of Kriston Pearson on May 7, 2017, following an investigation by the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM).
