March 29, 2021 – The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) mourns the loss of our colleague and friend, Director of Complaints, Mr. Nigel Morgan, who died this morning following complications with COVID-19.

Mr. Morgan joined INDECOM in 2011, as the Commission’s first Director of Complaints and his passing is a huge loss for his family, friends and colleagues.

Commissioner of INDECOM, Hugh Faulkner expressed that “Nigel interacted with everyone in all walks of life, earning deserved recognition as a revered and trusted friend to many.  He served INDECOM fervently and will be an irreplaceable broker of peace and consensus; that will be the legacy that he leaves. His sense of humour and love of life and entertaining, made him a joy to work with.  He will be truly missed.”

The Commission acknowledges the messages of condolences and sympathies, for which we are grateful, as we all try to cope during this very difficult time.
