June 10, 2026 – Within a 24-hour period, teams from the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) were notified and responded to investigate the circumstances of five (5) separate police incidents, across four parishes. These five (5) incidents included two (2) quadruple fatal shootings and three (3) single fatal shootings, resulting in the death of eleven (11) men.
These five recent incidents, increase the total deaths from fatal shootings for the month of June to fourteen (14) persons shot and killed by the Security Forces. Year to date, one hundred and fifty-three (153) persons were shot and killed by the Security Forces, while comparatively in 2025 for the same period, one hundred and forty-five (145) persons were shot and killed.
Six of the seven men shot and killed on June 9 have not been officially identified:

- Unidentified male (Fatal shooting in Bog Walk, St. Catherine on June 9)
- Unidentified male (Fatal shooting in Bog Walk, St. Catherine on June 9)

- Unidentified male (Fatal shooting in Bog Walk, St. Catherine on June 9)
- Unidentified male (Fatal shooting in the vicinity of GC Foster College, St. Catherine on June 9)
- Unidentified male (Fatal shooting in Land Lease Community, Papine, St. Andrew on June 9)
Three of the deceased men shot and killed at Retirement in St. James on June 10, have been identified, while one remains unidentified:
- 55 year old, Bryan Fairclough
- 27 year old, Brian Fairclough
- 26 year old, Jahmar Ashman
- Unidentified male
INDECOM is therefore seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the deceased men whose identities have not yet been confirmed following these recent five fatal shooting incidents. The Commission is appealing to relatives, next of kin, or persons who may be able to assist with identification efforts to come forward and contact the Commission. Additionally, INDECOM invites members of the public who witnessed any of the incidents, or who possess photographs, video recordings, or other information relevant to the circumstances surrounding these incidents, to contact the Commission. Independent witness accounts and visual evidence remain critical to ensuring a thorough, impartial and comprehensive investigation. Cumulatively, seven firearms were reportedly recovered by the police from the five incident scenes, where eleven men were killed. The single fatal shooting incidents in Clarendon, St. Andrew and the quadruple incident in St. James have been recorded as planned operations. Upon enquiry by INDECOM, the police have reported that no body worn cameras were worn by the police officers involved in any of these five fatal shooting incidents.
All five incident scenes were examined and the evidential material recovered, processed and packaged. The hands of the deceased were swabbed for gunshot residue, and their bodies photographed and sealed, pending post mortem examination. The concerned officers will be required, pursuant to the Independent Commission of Investigations Act, 2010, to submit statements and attend interviews.
